Clear boundaries. We keep only what we need.
Alongside All Life is a small, personal project — not a company, not a data business. This page explains in plain language what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Story submissions: your email address and the words you send us at stories@alongsidealllife.org.
- Newsletter: your email address (and first name and country, only if you choose to share them) via our email provider, when you sign up for updates.
- Almost nothing else. We have no accounts, no logins, no advertising trackers. Our hosting provider keeps basic technical logs, as every website does.
How we use it
- To read and reply to your story — nothing more.
- To publish a story only if you give us written permission.
- To send updates only to people who signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- We never sell your information. We never share it for marketing.
- Only the small circle of people who run this project can access submissions.
Children
- If we learn a writer is under 13, we will reply once and then delete their contact information.
- We never add children under 13 to any mailing list.
How long we keep things
- Stories we don't publish are deleted within 90 days.
- For published stories, we keep only the publication record and your permission.
- You may ask us to delete your information at any time — email us with the subject line [Privacy Request].
Emergencies
- Email is not monitored around the clock. If you or someone near you is in danger, contact local emergency services first.
Changes
- If this policy changes, the latest version will always be posted here.
